Aviation operational test squadron

Article Abstract:

The Marine Corps should establish a task-organized squadron, which combines the data collection with the established Marine expeditionary unit (MEU) concept, in order to conduct Marine Corps aviation operational test (OT). Creating a composite squadron for OT would involve expanding Marine Tiltrotor Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron 22 (VMX-22) and reassigning the other platform away from Evaluation Squadron 9 (VX-9) and Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX-1).

The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) is promoting an information management concept for the factors including National data reachback service, Theater-collected/produced intelligence archive service, and Special compartmented intelligence (SCI) enterprise service. The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) tapped MCIA to lead DOD's cultural intelligence efforts, as MCIA deserves expertise in reachback support.

Improving the MAGTF COC capability: A look at a new integrated [C.sup.2] capability

Article Abstract:

Digital command and control ([C.sup.2]) systems enable the ability to plan and distribute decision-making through situational awareness in an expeditionary operation. The ways in which the Marine Corps is enhancing the effective, interoperable [C.sup.2] tools through a Marine air-ground task force (MAGTF) [C.sup.2] strategy are discussed.
